Poland-based company Poznań Projekt collaborated with mode:lina architekci in renovating the entrance of Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Poznań. We do not know if integrity comes in shapes of white, gray and blue, but the interiors of this unusual police station found on Dezeen look particularly modern and clean. Here are some words from the architects: “The aim of this renovation was to adjust the entrance for disabled users as well as set a new standard for police interiors. In order to provide equal chances to enter the building some rough cuts and changes were made. While the exterior part had to be approved by city’s heritage conservator, architects had a free hand to design the interior.‘Simple and clear’ – that was how we planned to design the interior. We decided to use white aulnd dark gray as a background for blue – an official police color. The main circulation is marked in white both on the floor and through the LED-lit ceiling”. Do you believe this type of design could add credibility to a police institution? [Photography by Marcin Ratajczak]
